Locate French Ski Resorts

In considering French ski resort holidays, why not set your sights on the area named for the most famous French downhiller, Jean-Claude Killy? Val d'Isere is a medium-sized, high-mountain resort that is part of the vast Espace Killy. 69 pisted runs of excellent snow and late-season operation await you. Linked ticketing lets you access nearby Tignes's 153 runs as well. We offer lodging at Val d'Isere, which is much cosier on a human scale than the larger resort.

While there is ample room for beginners to learn at the lower levels served by free lifts, many of the runs are of professional calibre, having hosted Olympic and World Cup competitions. A high elevation of over 6,000 feet means you'll find snow here when other resorts don't have it. Space for boarders is extensive, with a snow park, double bowl, halfpipe, two quarter pipes, and boarder cross from which to choose.

Trouble-Free Holidays at French Ski Resorts

Val d'Isere is known for it efficient operation and lack of lift lines in nearly any season, even the winter holidays. Its French lift company has recently instituted a “hands-free” ski pass validation, for your convenience. Forget about continually digging through your pockets for lift ticket! A computer chip terminal detects your code and opens the lift gate automatically. Other short cuts include free shuttle buses and funicular transport in this auto traffic-free zone.

Let a UK-based tour operator facilitate your trip by booking ferry transport, car and equipment hire, and lodging. This leaves self-catering, daily schedules and apres-ski activities up to you. SkiFrance4Less offers terrific packages to the most popular French downhill and snowboard areas.
